MRPC is a scientific and industrial research organization approved by the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.  Its state-of-the art R&D Laboratory is recognized by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, New Delhi for testing and analysis of oils and fats of edible grade. 

 

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES AT MRPC

The Training Programme builds an effective integration of concepts and practices of laboratory and Industrial operations.  The training aims at sensitizing the trainees and highlights the importance of laboratory operations in the current WTO regime.  The training methodology would include theory, demonstration and discussion.  The learning of trainees would be evaluated after completion of training program. Proper time and freedom will be given to the trainees on instruments to handle on its own. Prominence is focused on food, neutraceutical, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, biotech and agricultural industries

 

MODULE –I    ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES

Hands on training on Sophisticated Analytical equipments viz. High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Liquid Chromatography (GLC), Auto Titrator, UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, Refractometer, Near Infra Red Spectroscopy (NIRS), etc used in food, neutraceuticals, agricultural, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics industries.

Operation/analysis/maintenance and method development.

Quality analysis of various food products, as per Government norms viz. FSSA/PFA, BIS, USFDA etc.

 

MODULE – II Industrial Training in Collaboration with Industrial Partner
Industrial Production Process from raw material to finished product

Value addition of by products from industrial production of food, neutraceutical, agricultural, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry

Extraction of bioactive compounds

R&D Product development - Laboratory level production, pilot plant production

Good laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Quality assurance and quality control.

Quality analysis of food, neutraceuticals, agricultural, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics  products as per National and International Standards

MODULE –III MICROBIOLOGICAL TECHNIQUES

Identification, isolation of microbes

Media preparation, culture maintenance

Antimicrobial and antagonistic activity

Mass multiplication of microbes as bio control agents

Sterility test of food and pharma products

 

MODULE – IV Oil and its Oleochemicals

Biodiesel Production

Solvent Extraction of oil and its quality analysis

Trans esterification process

Degumming

Quality analysis of oil and biodiesel

Oilcake analysis

By product value addition
